About Zöld Liget Kertépítés és Parkfenntartás
Zöld Liget is a landscaping and green-space company based at Szent Imre út 112, 9026 Győr, working in the city and across Hungary. We build gardens, maintain them, look after larger green areas, and carry out the earthworks that come before planting.
How a job with us runs
The same five stages apply to a back garden in Győr and to a green-space contract further out. They are listed here the way we run them, so you know what happens before anyone arrives with a machine.
Durations are typical figures for a full garden build; small maintenance jobs are often done in a single visit, and weather or other trades can shift the sequence.
What we do
Our work covers four connected areas: kertépítés, kertfenntartás, zöldterület-kezelés and parkfenntartás, and tereprendezés. In practice these overlap. A garden build ends with a maintenance arrangement. A municipal green area needs both seasonal care and occasional replanting or groundworks.
Handling the full chain means the same understanding of a site carries from design through to upkeep, rather than each stage being handed to a different contractor with a fresh set of assumptions. That continuity is what keeps a plan honest once the ground is open.

How we approach a job
We visit before quoting. Levels, drainage, access for machinery, and the condition of existing planting are checked on site, because these decide what the work actually involves. From there you get a written scope: tasks, sequence, and which parts depend on weather or other trades.
For recurring maintenance the scope is a schedule rather than a single project. We would rather turn down a job that does not fit than take it on and improvise. If the site tells us something different once work starts, that goes into writing before it becomes a change.
What the survey records
Ground levels, where water sits after rain, how a machine reaches the back of the plot, and which existing trees and shrubs are worth keeping.
What the written scope holds
The tasks in order, the materials and plant specified, and the points where the programme depends on weather or on another trade finishing first.
How maintenance is planned
As a season-by-season schedule with visit frequency and the tasks for each period, rather than a promise to show up whenever something looks overgrown.
When we say no
If access, soil or timing makes a job a poor fit, we say so before quoting. A declined enquiry costs less than a build that has to be redone.
Work on public ground usually runs when the space is quiet. Green waste leaves the site as the job proceeds instead of sitting in a pile at the entrance, which keeps paths usable and neighbours undisturbed.
The team and the equipment
The crew combines horticultural work with machine operation, which matters on projects that move between planting and groundworks. We use machinery sized to the access available, from compact excavators for back gardens to larger plant where there is room.
Tree work is carried out within our scope, and specialist tasks such as large hazardous removals are referred to licensed contractors. Everyone on site works to the agreed scope and clears green waste as the job proceeds.

Planting and horticulture
Soil preparation, planting, pruning, hedge cutting and seasonal care of beds and lawns.
Machines and groundworks
Excavation, levelling, drainage runs and sub-base work, with machine size matched to the access on site.
Who we work for
Clients range from homeowners in Győr to condominium communities, facility managers, and public bodies. The customer base for landscaping work in Hungary is broad, and each group has its own rhythm and its own expectations about scheduling and reporting. Telling us which group you fall into at first contact helps us propose the right kind of arrangement.
Single gardens, terraces and driveways. Often a build followed by a maintenance arrangement, with the household living on site throughout.
Shared courtyards and entrance areas where several residents depend on the same schedule and on the space staying usable while work is under way.
Industrial and office grounds where upkeep has to fit around operating hours, deliveries and visitor access, usually on a repeating contract.
Municipal grounds, sports grounds and institutional parks, where the work is planned season by season and documented for whoever signs it off.
Working across Hungary
Győr and the surrounding region are our home ground, and most of our work is here. We also take on projects elsewhere in Hungary, particularly maintenance and green-space contracts where a defined scope and schedule make distance manageable.
For sites further away, travel and mobilisation are agreed up front rather than added later. If your site is outside the region, describe it and we will say honestly whether it makes sense for us to take it on.
What helps us answer quickly
- Your town or district, and how far the site is from Győr.
- Whether it is a one-off build, a recurring contract, or an urgent clean-up.
- Site size, access width for machines, and any fixed deadline.
- Photos of the area, and the condition of what is already planted.

Where the trade is heading
Landscaping in Hungary is treated as a distinct service industry, and the range of clients keeps it that way: private gardens, institutional grounds, and public spaces all need year-round attention, not just a one-off build. That has pushed the work toward clearer scheduling, documented maintenance, and more attention to how a site performs over years rather than weeks.
Our own approach follows the same direction, with written scopes and programmes that can be reviewed season by season. A garden that was planted five years ago still gets the same attention as one handed over last month.
Seasonal care continues through the dormant months
Contact and site visits
Enquiries come in by phone, email, or the contact form, and each one gets a reply. For small maintenance jobs, photos and a short description are often enough to give a range. For builds and earthworks we arrange a site visit, because levels and access cannot be judged from pictures.
We are at Szent Imre út 112, 9026 Győr, reachable at [email protected] or +36 1 253 1813 during working hours. Tell us which kind of site you have and what you want it to do, and we will tell you how we would approach it.
Questions we get asked
Do you quote from photos alone?
For small maintenance work, photos and a short description are often enough to give you a range. For garden builds, earthworks and anything involving levels or drainage, we visit first, because those things decide the actual scope and cost.
Do you take on one-off jobs as well as contracts?
Both. A single garden build, a clearance, or a replanting after groundworks is normal work for us. Recurring maintenance is set up as a schedule with visit frequency and the tasks for each period, so the arrangement is clear from the start.
Who removes the green waste?
We do, as part of the job. Cuttings, prunings and cleared vegetation leave the site as the work proceeds rather than being left in a pile for you to deal with afterwards.
Can you work outside Győr?
Yes. Győr and the surrounding region are our home ground, but we take on projects elsewhere in Hungary, particularly maintenance and green-space contracts where a defined scope and schedule make the distance manageable. Travel is agreed up front.
Ready to talk through a site?
Tell us where the site is, what you want it to do, and when you would like the work to happen. We will reply with the next practical step, whether that is a short written range or a visit to look at levels and access.
