This page lists what Zöld Liget actually does, so you can work out which service fits your property. Some clients need a garden built from scratch. Others want someone reliable to mow, prune, and clear green waste through the season. Larger sites, such as housing estates or company grounds, usually need a combination.

Read the sections below, then tell us which one sounds like your situation. If two of them apply, say so — most projects combine two or three scopes, and we plan them in the order that avoids re-doing work.

The scopes, in the order we usually build them

Each row is a service you can ask for on its own or as part of a wider arrangement.

✓

Garden construction and planting

Kertépítés covers everything from soil preparation to the last plant going in. That includes setting levels, improving or replacing topsoil, laying paths and edging, and planting trees, shrubs, hedges, and beds suited to the site's light and soil. Around Győr we work with both heavier clay soils and lighter ground, and the preparation differs accordingly. Planting is scheduled into the correct season for each species rather than squeezed into whatever week the hard landscaping finishes. If you already have a design, we can build to it; if not, we can survey the site and propose one.

✓

Recurring garden maintenance

Kertfenntartás is the service most clients start with, and the one that keeps a garden looking as it did when it was built. It includes fűnyírás and gyepápolás through the growing season, edging, weeding of beds and paved areas, sövényvágás, metszés of shrubs and trees, autumn leaf collection, and zöldhulladék elszállítás after every visit. The schedule is set by growth and season, not by a fixed number of visits, so a wet spring means more frequent mowing and a dry August means less. Private gardens, courtyards, and institutional grounds all run on the same logic at different scales.

✓

Green-space and park maintenance

Zöldterület-kezelés and parkfenntartás apply to areas used by many people: parks, housing estates, sports grounds, schoolyards, and the surroundings of commercial buildings. The work is similar in kind to garden maintenance but wider in scope, and it involves planning around public use, coordinating several tasks on one site, and keeping a record of what was done. Municipal green-space operations in Hungary commonly combine tree care, plant-protection tasks, and planting works with supervision of construction or landscaping projects happening on the same grounds. We can take on the whole arrangement or a defined part of it.

✓

Earthworks and ground preparation

Tereprendezés and talajmunka prepare ground for whatever comes next, whether that is a garden, a lawn, a driveway, or a building. Typical work includes stripping and stockpiling topsoil, cutting and filling to reach the right levels, shaping falls away from structures, installing drainage, and compacting sub-base. Soil improvement is part of it too: compacted fill and heavy clay both need breaking up and amending before planting has a chance. On construction sites this has to be sequenced around other trades, so access and timing are agreed in advance.

Irrigation systems

Öntözőrendszer design and installation are best decided before paving and planting, because pipe runs, valve positions, and controller placement are much easier to set on open ground. A system is planned around the water pressure and flow available at the site, the zones you want to control separately, and which planting needs regular water.

After installation, commissioning checks coverage zone by zone and sets the schedule. At the end of the season the system is drained and winterized to protect pipes and valves from frost. If your site has low pressure or a shared supply, we say so during the survey — that decision changes the design, not just the hardware.

Lawn care in detail

A lawn is the part of a garden most sensitive to how it is treated. Gyepápolás includes mowing at the right height for the season, aeration to relieve compaction, edging along paths and beds, and targeted work on bare or mossy patches. Cutting too short in hot weather weakens the grass and invites weeds; cutting too little and too rarely leaves clippings that smother it. We adjust the routine through the year rather than running the same pattern from April to October.

Recurring garden maintenance — how the season runs

Most properties start here. Visits are set by growth and weather rather than a fixed count, and every visit ends with the clippings, prunings, and leaves taken away. Below is the shape of a normal season; the actual dates shift with the year.

✓ Spring: first cut, lawn scarifying where needed, bed weeding and mulching, hedge cut before nesting
✓ Summer: mowing on the growth rate, edging, irrigation checks, deadheading, weed control on paved areas
✓ Autumn: leaf collection, shrub and tree pruning, aeration, final cut and the irrigation system drained
✓ Winter: structural pruning, path and edge repair, tool servicing, and planning next season's planting

A signed agreement in early spring carries the property through the full growing season. Sign later and we pick up from the current month, which is why spring and autumn fill up first.

Green-waste removal and site clearing

Zöldhulladék elszállítás is part of every maintenance visit and every build. Grass clippings, prunings, hedge trimmings, leaves, and surplus soil all have to leave the property, and Hungarian rules treat green waste separately from general refuse. Leaving material piled on site is not harmless: it kills the lawn underneath, attracts pests, and often breaches condominium or commercial property rules. Our practice is to clear as we work, so the garden is usable the same day.

One-off jobs and seasonal work

Not everything fits a contract. A single overgrown plot before a sale, a hedge that has gone too high, a storm-damaged branch, or a lawn that needs rescuing after a neglected season are all normal requests. We take these on where the schedule allows, and we will say so if the job is better handled as part of a regular arrangement. Spring and autumn are the busiest periods, so booking ahead helps for anything seasonal.

What to have ready when you ask for a quote

  • ✓ The property address and roughly how large the green area is
  • ✓ Whether the job is a one-off clearance or an ongoing schedule
  • ✓ Any existing plan, survey, or planting scheme you already have
  • ✓ Site access notes: gates, shared courtyards, parking, working hours on the estate

See how the scopes look once they are built

Reading a service list tells you what we do; it does not tell you what the result looks like on a Győr plot, in a courtyard, or around a housing block. Our projects page walks through the same scopes above as finished work — gardens built from bare ground, green spaces kept through a season, and ground prepared before anything was planted.

Questions that come up before the first visit

Practical answers about scope, timing, and what happens on site.

Can I book one service without the others? +

Yes. A single hedge cut, a one-off clearance, or an irrigation installation on its own are all normal requests. The one thing worth knowing is that scopes interact: planting scheduled after paving, or irrigation planned before either, usually costs less than doing them in the wrong order.

How is a maintenance schedule priced if visits vary? +

The schedule is set by growth and season rather than a fixed number of visits, so a wet spring means more frequent mowing and a dry August means less. We agree the scope and the working rhythm first, then confirm the terms in writing before any visit happens — nothing is billed on a guess.

Do you take on housing estates and company grounds? +

Yes. Green-space and park maintenance applies to areas used by many people, where the work involves planning around public use, coordinating several tasks on one site, and keeping a record of what was done. We can take on the whole arrangement or a defined part of it, depending on how the site is managed.

When should I get in touch for seasonal work? +

Spring and autumn are the busiest periods, so booking ahead helps for anything seasonal — first cuts, autumn leaf clearance, pruning, and irrigation winterization. For planting, the right window depends on the species, and we will tell you honestly if the timing you have in mind is wrong for the plant.
