Garden and Green-Space Maintenance Programmes
Mowing, pruning, weeding, leaf collection and green-waste removal on a rhythm that follows how plants actually grow — for private gardens, condominium courtyards and public grounds in Győr and across Hungary.
Maintenance cycle
A programme is a written list of tasks and a proposed rhythm for the year, agreed after a visit to your property. The visits below are the backbone of most arrangements; the count changes month to month with growth.
What a maintenance programme covers
The core tasks are consistent across sites, whatever the size of the property. The exact list is agreed per site, because a family garden and a sports ground need different levels of attention even though the work is similar in kind.
Larger or more formal grounds may also need seasonal planting, bed renovation or turf repair folded into the same arrangement. Where that is the case, we say so before the programme starts rather than adding it later.
Garden design and build
- Mowing and lawn care Growing season
- Edging along paths and beds Every visit
- Weeding of planted areas Every visit
- Hedge cutting and shrub pruning By species
- Leaf collection and green-waste removal Autumn and after each visit
Fixed-interval contracts sound tidy but rarely match how plants grow. In a wet Hungarian spring, lawn can need cutting weekly; in a hot, dry August the interval stretches out. Hedge pruning has its own windows depending on species, and some trees should only be cut at certain times of year. We set the programme around growth and plant cycles, then adjust as the season develops, so the number of visits varies month to month rather than staying constant.
Lawn care through the year
Gyepápolás is more than mowing. Aeration relieves compaction, especially on lawns that get heavy foot traffic, and edging keeps the boundary between grass and beds clean.
Cutting height
Shorter in cool, growing weather; higher in heat and drought stress, so the sward shades its own roots.
Aeration
Relieves compaction on lawns that carry regular foot traffic, so water and air reach the root zone.
Bare and mossy patches
Dealt with directly rather than left to spread, with the cause checked before seed or turf goes down.
Edging
Keeps the line between grass and beds sharp, which is most of what makes a lawn read as cared for.
Over a full year, this routine matters more to how a lawn looks than any single treatment.
Pruning, hedging and tree care
Sövényvágás keeps hedges to their intended line and density, and timing depends on the species and whether birds are nesting. Metszés covers shrubs and trees: removing dead or crossing growth, shaping where a formal outline is wanted, and reducing size where a plant has outgrown its space.
Larger tree work, and anything involving removal, may need permission in Hungary depending on the location and the tree. On municipal green-space sites that process is part of the job, and we flag when a permit is likely to be needed before any cutting starts.
Before cutting
Species, season, nesting and location are checked first. If a permit is likely to be required, we say so early, because approval takes time and the work should not be started before it is in place.
Public areas and commercial grounds
Zöldterület-kezelés on public or commercial sites adds coordination to the horticultural work. Crews have to plan around how the area is used, keep access clear, and record what was done.
For facility managers and municipalities, we can work to an agreed schedule and report on completed tasks, so grounds maintenance can be reviewed against a written scope rather than against memory.

What we report back
- Tasks completed on the visit, with the areas they covered.
- Anything found that falls outside the agreed scope, before it is done.
- Green waste removed from site, and where surplus soil was taken if it left the grounds.
Handled on every visit
Green waste and how it is handled
Zöldhulladék elszállítás runs through every maintenance visit. Grass clippings, hedge trimmings, prunings and leaves are collected and removed, and in Hungary green waste is handled separately from general refuse.
Leaving material piled on site damages the lawn beneath it and creates a nuisance on shared property, which is why it is treated as part of the job rather than an extra. Surplus soil from bed work is also removed unless it is being reused on site.
Setting up an arrangement
It starts with a visit to see the property and agree the scope. We look at the size and layout, access for equipment, what planting exists, and what condition it is in. From there you get a written description of tasks and a proposed rhythm for the year.
One-off visits are possible where the schedule allows, but most clients find a recurring arrangement more useful, since garden condition depends on consistency more than on any single effort.
-
Site visit
We walk the property with you, check access for equipment and look at what is already growing and how it is holding up.
-
Written scope
You receive the task list in writing, including what is included and what would be quoted separately if it came up.
-
Proposed rhythm
A suggested visit pattern for the year, with the note that intervals move with the season rather than staying fixed.
-
First season
Often the most intensive, because an overgrown or neglected site is brought back to a manageable state before the lighter routine begins.
Questions we are asked before a programme starts
Can maintenance be arranged for a single season?
Yes, though the first season is often the most intensive because it brings an overgrown or neglected site back to a manageable state. After that, many clients continue on a lighter recurring schedule.
Do you handle green waste from the site?
Yes. Cuttings, trimmings, leaves and surplus soil are removed as part of the visit. Hungarian rules treat green waste separately from general refuse, and leaving it piled on site causes problems for lawns and shared property.
Which areas do you cover?
We work in Győr and across Hungary. Private gardens, condominium courtyards and larger public or commercial grounds are all handled the same way: a visit first, then a written scope and a rhythm for the year.
What if the property needs more than routine work?
Seasonal planting, bed renovation and turf repair can be folded into the arrangement, and larger tree work may need permission in Hungary depending on the location and the tree. We flag anything like that before it starts, so you are not surprised by it later.
Start with a visit, not a contract
Tell us where the property is and what is growing on it. We will come out, look at the access and the condition, and put the scope in writing. If a recurring programme is not the right fit, we will say so at that point rather than after the first invoice.
