What this policy covers
The pages below answer the questions visitors ask most often before sending an enquiry: what happens to the details you type in, how long we keep them, who else may see them and how you can have them corrected or removed. It applies to this website and to enquiries that arrive by email.
It does not cover the internal records we keep while carrying out contracted landscaping, garden maintenance or earthworks work — those are handled separately under the contract you sign. If you would like a copy of that wording before work starts, ask us and we will send it.
Data protection
Written to be read, not skipped
Legal text is easier to follow when it answers one question at a time. Each section below states what we hold, why we hold it and what you can ask us to do about it — in the same plain wording we use when quoting for garden design, maintenance or site preparation work.
If anything here is unclear, or you want the details of a specific enquiry confirmed in writing, email us and we will reply with the exact records we hold.
Data we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you choose to send us, and the technical records the hosting environment keeps so the site stays online and secure. Nothing is collected in the background beyond that.
What we hold, and where it comes from
- Enquiry form
- Your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, the site address or town the work relates to, and the details you write in the message field.
- Email correspondence
- Messages you send directly to our email address, together with any attachments such as photographs of a garden or site you want quoted.
- Hosting records
- Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. The hosting provider records these for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis.
- Cookies
- Small files that let the site remember basic choices. The Cookie Policy lists which ones are used and how to switch them off.
We do not ask for bank details, identity documents or any special category information through this website. If you would rather not send details online, call +36 1 253 1813 during opening hours and we can take the basics over the phone.
Why we process it
Every purpose below has a practical reason behind it. Nothing on this list exists to build a marketing profile or to sell your details on.
Main purpose
Answering your enquiry and quoting the work
When you write to us about garden design, maintenance, green-space management or earthworks, we use your details to reply, to ask the follow-up questions a quote needs, and to arrange a site visit where one is useful. Measurements, photographs and access notes you send are kept with the enquiry so the same conversation does not have to be repeated.
If the work goes ahead, the same details carry into the job record and the invoice. If it does not, the enquiry is closed and deleted once the retention period below has passed.
Running the website safely
Hosting records help spot abusive traffic, broken pages and delivery problems. They are looked at in aggregate and only inspected individually when something needs investigating.
Keeping accurate business records
Where an enquiry turns into contracted work, the related correspondence supports the job file and the accounting entries Hungarian tax rules require us to keep.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details, pass them to unrelated advertisers, or add you to a newsletter you did not ask for.
Legal basis
Hungarian and EU data protection rules require a stated reason for every use of personal data. Here are ours, in the order they usually apply.
Your request for a quote or information
When you contact us asking for a price, a scope of work or an answer about a garden or site, we process your details because you asked us to. This is the basis for almost every enquiry that arrives.
Legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries
A landscaping practice needs to answer the people who write to it. This covers the follow-up email, the site visit arrangement and the internal note that stops two colleagues answering the same message twice.
Legal obligation for accounting records
Where an enquiry becomes a contract, the invoice and its supporting records must be kept for the period Hungarian accounting and tax rules set. During that time we cannot delete them on request.
Consent, where you have given it
Any optional use — for example holding a photo of your garden for a portfolio discussion — happens only with your agreement, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time without affecting the enquiry itself.
Objecting to processing
Where we rely on legitimate interest, you may object. Tell us why and we will stop unless we can show a compelling reason that overrides it — for example an open contract or an accounting duty.
How long we keep it
Retention follows the life of the enquiry, not a fixed clock. Data that never becomes a contract is removed once the conversation is finished and no follow-up is expected. Where a contract results, the accounting period takes over.
Retention at a glance
Enquiry that does not lead to work
Deleted once the request is handled and no further contact is expected.
Short term
Enquiry that becomes a contract
Held for the duration of the job and the warranty or follow-up period attached to it.
Job term
Invoice and accounting records
Kept for the period Hungarian accounting and tax rules require, then removed.
Statutory
Hosting and security logs
Kept only as long as the provider needs them for security and diagnostics, then rotated out.
Rolling
If you want to know which of these applies to your own enquiry, email [email protected] with the name and date you used and we will confirm it in writing.
Sharing and transfers
Your details stay with the people who need them to answer you or to deliver a job. The list below covers every category of recipient we use, and nothing outside it.
Website and email providers
Companies that host this site and carry our email. They process data on our written instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
Accounting and administration
Where an enquiry becomes a contract, invoice details pass to the accounting service that keeps our statutory records in order.
Authorities, when the law requires it
We release information to a public body only when a legal obligation or a valid official request makes it necessary, and we tell you unless we are barred from doing so.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
We do not move personal data outside the European Economic Area unless there is a legal basis and appropriate safeguards in place for that transfer. If a service provider we use ever changes its storage region in a way that affects your enquiry, we will tell you before the change takes effect.
Your rights over your own data
You do not have to explain yourself to use any of these. Send a message with your name and the enquiry you are asking about, and we will confirm what we hold and what we have done with it.
Access and copies
Ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format you can pass on.
Correction
If a phone number, address or name was written down wrongly, we will put it right.
Deletion
Ask us to remove an enquiry that has no contract attached. Statutory accounting records are the one exception.
Restriction and objection
Pause our use of your data while a question is being settled, or object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Requests go to [email protected], or by post to Szent Imre út 112, 9026 Győr, Hungary.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the website changes or when the law behind it changes. The date at the top of the page always shows the version you are reading, and a material change affecting how enquiries are handled will be noted here rather than quietly swapped in.
Questions about the policy, a request about your own data, or a complaint about how we handled it can all start at the same address. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may raise the matter with the Hungarian data protection supervisory authority.

Questions visitors ask about this policy
Do I have to send my phone number with an enquiry?
No. The form works with a name, an email address and a description of the work. A phone number makes it faster to agree a site visit, but leaving it blank does not hold up a quote.
Can I ask you to delete an enquiry I sent last year?
Yes, if no contract came out of it. Send the request to [email protected] with your name and roughly when you wrote, and we will confirm what was removed. Records tied to an invoice stay for the period Hungarian accounting rules set.
What happens to photographs of my garden?
Photos you send for a quote are used to understand the site and prepare the scope of work. If we would like to keep any for a portfolio discussion, we ask first, and you can withdraw that permission later.
How quickly will I hear back about a data request?
We aim to reply within one month, which is the period data protection rules allow. If a request is complex — for example it spans several jobs — we will tell you why and when to expect the answer rather than leave it open.
